Red Cross – the Symbol of Compassion and Mercy

The eternal values such as the need for compassion, humanity, mutual help and compassion is timeless.

Since 1918, the red cross Society of Ukraine continues to be a reliable support for the disadvantaged, the orphans, the disabled, the infirm, the sick, the lonely, the last resort, where people can always ask for help in the most difficult circumstances. Volunteers and staff of the red cross is always there: in the hot spots, the epicenter of natural disasters and human misery – where there is a need to provide immediate assistance in a warm word.

Every year Uman city organization of the red cross on the occasion of world first aid day holds various informational events and trainings. In the framework of the mentioned shares on 13 September students of engineering-technological faculty of Uman national University of horticulture was held a lesson-training on provision of first aid. The reason for this was the world day of first aid. Conducted training Chairman of Uman city organization of the red cross –Valentina Сhorna.

She noted that in difficult moments, first aid saves lives and everyone should know how to timely and efficiently to help the victim with various injuries, respiratory problems, bleeding, poisoning, burns during the training highlighted the issues : "What to do when stopped the activity of the heart, any bleeding, burns?", "How not to get lost in these situations?". Valentina Chorna noted that the task for today – not only yourself to be able to render first aid, but to teach others. Students practiced the techniques of resuscitation, and passed the algorithm of actions in emergency situations.

During the event, students were given a lot of useful and interesting information , conducted a master-class using a special mannequin, and demonstrated how to give first aid. During the conversation attention was focused on their own security, and also noted that to assist you should only if it poses no threat to life. In other cases, you must wait for specialists who can provide expert assistance.

Overall the event was educational in nature, and the meeting was held in a friendly, welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.
