THE GARDEN DAY IN 2016

Uman National University of Horticulture has been famous for the yield of their gardens. And so every year Uman national University of horticulture pleases us with high rates of collection of fruit crops of different varieties.

15 September in Uman national University of horticulture started a traditional annual scientific-practical seminar " Garden Day 2016." The event is organized by research Department Uman national University of horticulture.

During the workshop, participants and guests of the event visited the pilot gardens of intensive type of the Department of fruit growing and viticulture: the content of the soil in gardens, planting schemes, variety-rootstock combinations, introduction of new varieties, cultivation of planting material, forming the crown of Bi-Baum, methods and timing of pruning of the crown, and undertook a review of fruit nurseries. Did not remain without attention of participants and guests of the industrial plantations, assortment and technology of growing grapes and Bush berries raspberries and blackberries.

The Department of forestry conducted a demonstration of "study of the irrigation regime and water balance of the intensive plantations of Apple trees gardening Central forest-steppe of Ukraine". Offered to the public by the Department of protection and quarantine of plants a review of experiences of "the Study of harmful entomocomplexes Apple and measures to restrict its population in the industrial plantings of Forest-steppes of Ukraine."

Scientific and teaching staff, postgraduates and doctoral students of the departments provided detailed information on all areas and types of elite varieties of fruit crops. During the demonstration, the participants actively discussed the results and shared their experiences.
