«Ukraine – Norway» Project "Retraining and social adaptation of servicemen and members of their families in Ukraine"
Organizers and co-organizers, direct participants of the project "Ukraine – Norway" Project "Retraining and social adaptation of servicemen and members of their families in Ukraine" visited Uman National University of Horticulture on June 2 on the occasion of graduating a three-month course on the specialty "Organization of own business in horticulture and vegetable growing".
The main aspect of the project is the professional retraining of the target group for civil specialties that are in demand in the Ukrainian labor market, as well as assisting project participants in legal and social adaptation to living conditions in civil society. The main part of the project is implemented by educational institutions of Ukraine, in particular, Uman National University of Horticulture and the University of Nordland (Norway), which organize and carry out professional retraining of project participants in selected specialties in the amount of 500 academic hours. Upon completion of the course retraining tasks, graduates receive three documents: a certificate of professional retraining of the state standard (from Uman National University of Horticulture), a joint certificate from the University of Nordland and a Ukrainian education institution, a joint diploma from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Norway.
During the professional retraining, project participants receive assistance in legal adaptation, psychological rehabilitation, which has become an effective source of information resources according to the participants, and practically embodied in the living space of servicemen and their families, employment and business. It is important that the criterion of project quality is the improvement of living conditions of its participants. Therefore, upon completion of the curriculum, graduates are ready to review and evaluate the results of their own activities. The course retraining united students and made it possible not only to find like-minded friends, but also to believe in their own strength after difficult years of military service.
Olena Nepochatenko, Rector of Uman National University of Horticulture, began the graduation ceremony, greeted the audience and expressed pride in the educational institution, which was included in the list of project participants, because "… training and providing professions to families of war participants is essential for the socialization of people of such categories ".
Lieutenant Colonel Boye Garder Lillerud, Defense Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Ukraine, thanked all those who had the opportunity to work and study in this program. "The high level of success shown by the participants of such projects has helped the program to exist in the country since 2003. Such educational projects are an important contribution to the country's success, "the speaker said.
As part of the project, the head of the creative social photo project "Unbreakable" Semen Sapaiev, already known for the Uman region, joined the significant event for its participants, who presented photos of the wives and mothers of fallen servicemen who continue to be strong, live, work, take care of the fates of other people and take an active part in public life.
This project has become an important issue for the scientific and pedagogical staff of Uman National University of Horticulture, so the attitude to the educational process has traditionally been serious and responsible. We wish the graduates success and all the best! Let the whole range of knowledge and advice of teachers bring practical benefits to you and your families!
