Congratulations to the winners of the "Best Agribusiness project"!

On February 14 the results of the contest "Best Agribusiness Project" initiated by "Sedna-Agro", the official distributor of the leading manufacturers of crop and seed protection products were summed up. The aim of the contest was to find creative ideas for agrarian business development, as well as talented and active students.


Pro-rector I.I.Mostovyak said the opening speech to the participants of the event. He thanked the initiator of the project O.S.Yarovyi, director of "Sedna-Agro" for close collaboration with Uman National University of Horticulture. He noted that the university was proud of its alumnus who not only put his knowledge into practice, but also tried to support talented young people.


The jury assessed the relevance of research, its novelty and originality, as well as its practical orientation. According to these criteria, the winners were selected. They were three students of the Faculty of Management. The student of 31-M group Eugenia Chorniy won the first place and the testimonial of $ 700. The student of 31-M group Yulia Gaydamaka took the second place and received the testimonial of $ 200 and the third place was taken by the student of 31-Z group Inna Wasylyk, who received $ 100 $.


In the closing speech Director of Co Ltd "Sedna-Agro" O.S.Yarovyi noted good theoretical knowledge of students, their creativity and boldness. He said that the suggested ideas of agribusiness development in Ukraine were grounded on fundamental economic calculations. He emphasized that currently developing agribusiness required initiative and educated professionals, that’s why such events were useful and interesting both for future graduates who had a chance to prove themselves and get the first fee and for representatives of businesses, who could find creative and enthusiastic employees.
Contest organizers thanked all the participants and assured that their cooperation would continue and ensure successful employment and career development of graduates of Uman National University of Horticulture.
