The Open Day in Uman NUH
On the 2nd of November, one of the most prestigious educational institutions of Ukraine - Uman National University of Horticulture - warmly greeted guests who came to the Open Day.
Open Day - is a good tradition of the university, which is known both by uman people and by residents of nearby regions. Every interested future entrant has an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the campus , its material and technical base, departments and classrooms, to talk with Lecturers and Rector of the University.
This time, to Uman NUH arrived over 200 students and their parents from different regions of Ukraine: Kirovograd, Vinnytsya, Cherkasy, Kyiv and Odesa. But the most numerous was the delegation of pupils of Hayvoron district of Kirovograd region.
In the vestibule of the Research Library of Uman NUH guests had the opportunity to taste delicious apples and cakes baked from wheat grown on test plots of the University, and to warm up with hot tea and coffee and to get promotional products.
The solemn event opened Vice-Rector for Research and innovation activity Viktor Karpenko , who told about the history of the university and its present. Guests watched with interest a presentation that was complemented by interesting and informative story of Viktor Petrovych.
Deans of 6 faculties told participants the information about specialities which can obtain the future entrants on their faculties, and about the positions that graduates can hold after graduation.
In order to obtain more information about faculties, everyone was invited to communicate in the audiences.
For guests was conducted excursion on the university; interested pupils visited classrooms, gymnasium, Scientific Library, the work of which introduced Director Svitlana Nyzhnyk, and greenhouse, which contains various plants and trees, about which told the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry and Landscape Architecture, Oleksandr Zamorskyy.
The university said goodbye to pupils, with hope to meet in the future again within the walls of one of the best agricultural institutions in Ukraine.
