To the 69th anniversary of liberation of Uman from fascists

On March 11, 2013, representatives of administration and students of Uman National University of Horticulture took part in the solemn meeting on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the liberation of the city from fascist occupation.

Mayor of Uman Yuriy Bodrov and head of Uman Council of Veterans of War and Work Anatoliy Hodan expressed sincere respect to liberators. They thanked for their courage, commitment and said that everyone should remember heroes, courageous people, who risked their lives to preserve peace on in the world and lives of their dear compatriots.

They observed one minute of silence to remember people, who sacrificed their lives in times of war.

The younger generation must remember that freedom of the motherland was gained by millions of lives of our compatriots, who defended the honor and freedom of our country in times of Great Patriotic War.

Cherkasky Academic Ukrainian Folk Choir under the direction of Honored Art Worker Leonid Trofimenko gave a brilliant performance, which made a great impression on the audience.
