Excursion to Greenhouse Complex at Department of Horticulture

The lecturers of the Chair of Horticulture conducted an excursion about greenhouse complex for members of summer camp of Uman school № 4. They visited greenhouse № 1 “Citrus Fruit” and №2 “Subtropical”.

  Children listened with admiration to Senior Lecturer, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Tatiana Mamchur, who told them about subtropical and tropical vegetation. She spoke about the way of growing varieties of lemons and subtropical plants (kiwi, jujube, loquat, fig, persimmon and pomegranate).

The children asked a lot of questions and listened attentively to the answers. Tatiana Mamchur invited them to come in autumn and taste delicious exotic fruit.
