Flowers and herbs in legends, poetry, everyday life and customs
On the 24th of October in the reading room of the Scientific Library, a literary hour “Flowers and herbs in legends, poetry, everyday life and customs” with students of 11-sp and 12-sp groups was held.
The aim of the educational hour was the need to maintain the foundations of sense of beauty in the souls of young people through the perception of the surrounding nature, the poetry about it, to promote understanding of the flower arranging, education of a noble behavior in society, collective, society.
Students of the Faculty of Forestry and Landscape Architecture told the audience legends about flowers, recited poems of Lesya Ukrainka, Taras Shevchenko, Vasyl Symonenko, Ivan Drach and others.
Leading librarian Nataliya Mykhaylova told the students a lot of interesting information about flowers and showed them interesting books on this topic of the period of the Main School of Horticulture.
As a great addition to the event served the illustrated exhibition “Flowers - adornment of our life”.
