Gifts on the occasion of St. Nicholas Day from Uman Red Cross

Uman municipal district organization of Red Cross Society for the third time during the year visited the collective of Ukrainian Society for the Blind.

 Society unites 355 members, 75 of which  - are workers. This time the head of municipal district organization Valentyna Chorna came with the leader of  student government council of Uman National University of Horticulture Yuriy Melnyk, student Dariya Tikhon, with employees of patronage service of the Red Cross.

 It’s not the first charity event, which was carried out by student collective and municipal district organization. On the eve of New Year holidays, and on the occasion of St. Nicholas Day, students and municipal district organization arranged a holiday for 19 children of USFB, collecting a variety of toys for them. And for those kids who couldn’t come at a charity event, parents chose gifts on their own among toys brought  by volunteers. There were toylike fairy-tale heroes, cars, crayons and other interesting toys.

Parents together with their supervisor Oleksandr Naktinis sincerely thanked the organizers for gladness and created festal atmosphere for the children. In addition, the employees of USFB in a difficult financial situation visited the municipal district organization  and received assistance by clothes, shoes and hygiene products.
