Suomi is a country with cold climate and friendly people

Suomi is a country with a cold climate and friendly people. Its other name is Finland. It is famous for Lapland, Nokia phones, fishing and highly intensive agriculture. A lot of students of our university have summer training there.
A delegation of farmers from the town Lavia, which is located in the western part of Finland, visited Ukraine. On April 4, the delegation visited Uman National University of Horticulture, where the round table discussion was organized. The issues of soil management, fertilizing and growing various crops, economic features of Ukraine and Finland were discussed. 

The guests got acquainted with the history and present activities of the university, attended academic buildings, exhibition stands and talked with students.

The delegation visited large and small farms, grain dryers, got acquainted with agricultural machinery used at our fields. The guests were greatly impressed by the size of fields and the quality of soil in Ukraine.
