Our University is the participant of training in Vienna

From 29 June to 5 July 2014. in Vienna (Austria) at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in the framework of the Tempus project ‘Qantus’ meeting-training of project implementers of universities in Ukraine was held. Uman National University of Horticulture was represented by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Activity, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Viktor Karpenko. During the visit, meetings with the university administration, leading scientists, tour to the material and technical base of individual institutions of the University, scientific library, scientific laboratories were held. During meetings with scientists a number of issues concerning the features of the national system of higher education in Austria, the educational process at the University, specifications of teaching science and their qualification frameworks were discussed. During the presentational reports speakers paid much attention to the peculiarities of the Bologna Process at the University, which gave an opportunity to compare in this sphere the developments of our institution.

 During a visit to Vienna at the University an International Conference ‘xiZymes’ was held, devoted to the problems of enzymology, physiology, biotechnology and others. It gave the opportunity to listen to the participants' reports, to communicate with a wide range of scientists, gain new experience in conducting such activities.

 The training program was very intensive and fruitful. It helps to open new ways for our university to implement its potential opportunities towards improvement of teaching Science and Environmental Science, taking into account the European experience.
