Years go by like shooting stars

   In Uman National University of Horticulture over the years developes a good tradition – every year on the last Saturday of June the institution opens its doors to the graduates of previous years, so as they could once again plunge in the raging maelstrom of student life.

   And this year on the 29 of June in an ancient and forever young university from all over Ukraine gathered the representatives of the agricultural branch, who with the help of their great creative achievements and accomplishments multiply the glory of the institution. Graduates  – are the honor, pride and authority of the university.

   Entertainment music, registration tables, broadcasting of the report about the university, excited happy faces – in such way alma mater welcomed their students.

   Like chicks to the nest, the graduates of 12 anniversary years came to the University, which shared the treasures of knowledge with them and gave them wings.

   The University hospitably met the graduates: members of national amateur dance ensemble “Nyvka” performed “Solemn greeting”, for the representatives of the oldest graduation, a charming “ukrainochka”  presented “korovay” (ukrainian loaf ) because if follow the ancient Ukrainian tradition, dear guests should be greeted with bread and salt.

   Symbolic was laying flowers at the memorial to fallen soldiers in the memory of those classmates who died in the terrible war years.

   Sincerely congratulated the graduates of the past years the vice-rector of the University Ivan Mostov’yak, who emphasized on the special atmosphere of erudition, generosity and creativity that are the face of the institution:

   “It’s nice to see today the graduates of many generations who are different to each other in age and vision of life, and at the same time similar in – humanity, kindness, optimistic worldview and most importante  – united by our university. It is you, dear graduates, build the Ukraine by your daily work, by your victories and achievements strengthen the authority of your native university.”

   Ivan Mostov’yak wished the graduates vitality and optimism, peace, prosperity, wealth and pleasant journey to the students life. At the conclusion of his speech, the vice-rector assured all present that the native university is always happy to meet them.

   On behalf of the graduates of 1983 congradulated all the present the President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, academician of NAAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientific Worker of Ukraine Vasyl Petrychenko who thanked the teachers not only for invaluable knowledge which they gained at the university but also for the fact that at the native university they became the real people who care about the fate of the agricultural sector and the whole country.

   The  warm greetings of the speakers also joined other graduates: Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of Department of Accounting and Auditing of Bilatserkva National Agrarian University Ivan Svynous and chief of radiological services at the Department of Agricultural Development, Candidate of Agricultural Science, Associate Professor Anatoliy Bezvynnyy.

   More than 400 graduates who daily with the help of their creative achievements multiply the glory of the university, again visited their native alma mater, walked through the university halls, sat in native classrooms, met with their mentors, teachers and classmates.

   They said goodbye with hope to meet again, because here in native university the deluge of memories waiting for the graduates.
