We are very moved by the situation in which all of Ukraine has found itself.
The bestial attack by Russia meant that many of you had to find yourself in a difficult and dangerous war situation.
I hope that the common policy of the European Union and the USA will bring it to an end as soon as possible. Poland also supports you and tries to help by accepting refugees who may take refuge in our country or who are traveling further.
The Polish Academy of Sciences also decided to support Ukrainian scientists as much as possible and offered to admit people who would like to come to work at the institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences for a period of 3 months, ensuring travel costs and salary for 3 months.
Remembering your hospitality, I have met during the conference conference "Innovative Technology of Cultivation, Storage and Processing of Horticultural and Plant Products", I would like to help, and send information from the Polish Academy of Sciences to scientists from Ukraine.
If someone would like to come, fill in the form in which you have to enter your personal data and details of the person and the Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences to which you want to come.
I hope the war will bypass Uman, and I wish you and all Ukrainian people end the war quickly and return to normal life in your beautiful country.

On behalf of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, please be informed that within the framework of cooperation with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) we introduce a new tool supporting cooperation with the Ukrainian researchers:
General conditions:
- a) expenses related to travel and stayof the Ukrainian scientists in the units of the PAS will be covered by the PAS;
- b) durationof the stay in the units of the PAS up to 3 monthswith possibility of extension, if necessary.
Who can apply:
To apply for funding the units of the PAS submit an application (enclosed) to the International Relation Department of the PAS. The call is ongoing until further notice.
The Ukrainian researchers who do not have scientific partners in the units of the PAS may contact:

- The acting director of the PAS representation center in Kiyv: Mateusz Białas (Mateusz.Bialas@pan.pl)
Financial conditions:
- a) living expenses - 5000 PLN monthly,
- b) travel costs from Ukraine to Poland - up to 1500 PLN.
The refunding of costs will be carried out to the units of the PAS on a monthly basis.
