Ecology
In the modern world, ecology is a leader among the driving forces of scientific and technological progress. After all, to be healthy - fashionable, energy-independent - it is necessary to live in a healthy, environmentally friendly environment, to eat environmentally safe food is important, and to produce organic products is always profitable.
Due to the prolonged thoughtless use of the planet's resources, humanity is now facing a number of global environmental problems, the main of which is the exhaustion of natural resources. An example of a project to overcome the global environmental crisis is Ilon Mask's work on the study of the biogeochemical cycle of carbon, his Tesla electric car and a number of grand developments, including those aimed at overcoming the global environmental crisis.
Understanding Global Warming has led American scientists to develop a project to use modern bombers to restore the world's forests.
According to the passport of specialty 101 "Ecology", a specialist in this field of science studies the relationship of organisms with the environment, examines the structural and functional organization of organisms above the surface (populations, communities, ecosystems, biosphere), identifies mechanisms for maintaining their stability in space and time.
In the structure of modern ecology the following main areas are distinguished: general, special and applied ecology. General Ecology explores the fundamental problems of ecosystem organization. Special Ecology explores the peculiarities of the adaptation of populations of different species of organisms or their groups to environmental conditions. Applied ecology studies the effects of environmental factors on biosystems and focuses mainly on practical issues.
